Game Vs Monmouth 10/1

JC 2 MC 0Even rain couldn't prevent the determined Merchantiers from Jersey City from taking 3 points home with them. JCFC dominated the first 25 minutes of the first half, controlling most of the action on the Monmouth clubs half. Finally, a ball was centered and Gerard one touched it into the net from about 5 yards out. The rain continued for most of the game. In the second half, Mesh capitalized on an error by a Monmouth defender and raced in toward the goal, beating the goalkeeper and sliding the ball to Steve who nailed it into the back of the net from 1 yard out. Congratulations to Tim who made a key stop toward the last 15 minutes of the game and captured the shutout. Merchant Dave played excellent in leading the stellar defense. 2 wins, 1 tie, 1 loss: 7 points, Plus 3 goal advantage. 8 goals scored / 5 goals given. 7 different goal scorers.
