Good training run last night—glad to see everyone on the pitch—

 

Had some new faces on the pitch last night—welcome to Dave O’Brien and Assan.  Good to have Steve D now that the heat has receded a bit.

 

Next week, training will take place as before, at Lincoln Park from 8pm-10pm… Pints at the Merchant on grove street—if you can’t make training, make the merchant before heading home to the missus.

 

I will not be at training next week—I have to attend a mandatory league meeting.  Hopefully by the end of the night will have a schedule set for the fall.  Once we have that in hand, we’ll look to schedule at least one scrimmage before the season is out.  Understandably, labor day weekend is upon us soon enough, so we may try to schedule the scrimmage for a weeknight.

Thanks to everyone who has submitted their club dues—it is much appreciated—makes the job of setting up the club for the season that much easier and enjoyable.

 

If you are still intending on playing the season with us, please be sure to submit your dues—as I’ll be away next week, you can give your dues to Barry, our accounting wiz.

 

One last piece of business—I emailed everyone a player registration form—I would like it back on the 23^rd (two weeks hence) so we can finalize all details with the league.  If you had a card with the GSSL last season and were not with JCFC—please speak with your previous team to find out the card’s whereabouts, else you’ll need a new card.
